On December 8th KST, BTS became the first Korean artist to receive the Presidential Citation at the 5th Korea Good Donation Awards, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and organized by the Korea Council of Volunteering and Charity. Since 2021, the ceremony has recognized individuals and organizations that inspire hope and courage in society through acts of sharing and philanthropy, while promoting a mature culture of giving.

In their remarks, BTS shared, “We feel a deep sense of fulfillment knowing that the ‘LOVE MYSELF’ campaign has had a positive impact on our society. We believe this award is not so much for us, but a gesture of support and encouragement to everyone who resonated with the message of ‘loving ourselves and loving the world.’ We especially want to dedicate this honor to ARMY, who helped create this campaign with us. We will continue striving to contribute to warm and healthy change.”

BTS became the first K-pop artist to partner officially with the UNICEF Korea Committee in 2017, launching the LOVE MYSELF campaign. Through this initiative, they supported violence prevention and mental health services for children and adolescents across 155 countries and regions. They also provided mental wellness programs to more than 100 million individuals worldwide.

With the group and their label BIGHIT MUSIC, they established themselves as UNICEF’s largest private partner in global child protection, raising approximately 9.2 billion KRW with fans—an amount representing about 15% of UNICEF’s child protection fund.

Beyond the UNICEF collaboration, BTS continues to be recognized domestically and internationally for driving positive social change through sustained donations and meaningful engagement with social issues.

Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for a large-scale world tour to accompany the release of their new album next spring, gearing up to reunite with fans around the globe.
