BTS member V has sparked a heated debate with a recent statistic.
Recently, Vogue Japan revealed that V will be gracing its covers for its February 2026 issue.
The pre-orders for the issue are already out for grabs, and fans have flocked to all online platforms to secure a copy for themselves.
The website’s data revealed the age and gender distribution of the purchasers, which was surprising to many netizens. According to this statistic, the age group that bought the most number of copies was either in their 40s or their 50s. For one of the covers, the highest percentage of purchasers belonged to the 50s age group (36.5%), followed by the 40s (27%).
For another cover, the highest percentage of buyers was also recorded to be in their 50s (34.7%), followed by people in their 40s (28%). In both cases, women were overwhelmingly larger in percentage compared to men.
The statistic has sparked a heated discussion online, with netizens noting that BTS’s fanbase has almost completely lost the teenage demography.
