A past comment by BTS’s Jungkook in 2023 has once again become a hot topic online after resurfacing amid a few months of heated speculation about his alleged relationship with aespa star Winter.
Back in 2023, Jungkook was asked by fans during a live broadcast if he had a girlfriend. His answer is once again going viral now, as it did back then.
“I keep seeing posts asking if I have a girlfriend, but I don’t. I don’t have a girlfriend, and I’m not dating anyone. Right now, I just want to focus on work, so I don’t feel the need for one. Since I don’t have one, I wish people would stop talking about it.
Let’s say my girlfriend is ARMY. Right now, I only have ARMY. I feel relieved saying this. Since I only have ARMY, please don’t worry.”

While the comment was seen at the time as a typical fan-pleasing remark, a scathing post calling the BTS star “a liar” and “deceiving” has gone viral.

However, many do not agree with the accusations above. Some claim that, despite his recent rumors with aespa’s Winter, there’s no evidence Jungkook was lying at the time. Others have criticized the act of reviving old interviews to stir controversy, calling it malicious and unnecessary.
