BTS’s RM, Jin, Jungkook, Suga, Jimin, V, and J-Hope are one month away from releasing their comeback album, ARIRANG, on March 20. Those hoping that the boys would make an early return to the Grammys will have to wait a little longer for the K-pop group’s next appearance at the buzzy awards show. None of the members were seen on the red carpet.
BTS isn’t slated to present or perform tonight, and neither the group nor any members have any nominations. ARIRANG will be eligible for the 2027 ceremony, however.
The group hasn’t done any interviews together for their new album just yet, but in January, Jungkook spoke to Rolling Stone UK and shared how much he was looking forward to the K-pop band’s comeback.
He told the outlet, “I’m really looking forward to the next BTS album, the promotions I’ll do with the members, and being able to meet ARMY [BTS’s official fandom] again. I’m also excited for the work I’ll do as a solo artist. I want to learn more about dance and improve, especially in street dance.”
All of BTS’s members have completed their mandatory South Korean military service. Jungkook discussed how the experience changed him in his interview: “Before and after my military service, the depth of my thoughts has changed. My attitude towards time has shifted as well. I try to avoid things that are bad for my body. I used to drink [alcohol], but now I’m trying to refrain from it. I want to use my time more meaningfully and cherish it.”
He added, “During my time in the military, I couldn’t work on music even when I wanted to. That built up a sense of longing. It made me want to do better and deliver something great.”
BTS will be back on the road performing for their ARMY in just weeks. Their world tour starts on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea.
