Jin of BTS has set another clear milestone as a solo artist. The title track “Don’t Say You Love Me” from his solo album ‘Echo’ has surpassed 800 million cumulative streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify. Since its release, the song has steadily accumulated plays, going beyond a short-term surge and continuing to see stable, long-term consumption, earning the consistent choice of global listeners.

“Don’t Say You Love Me” is a track defined by restrained vocals and calm expression, with Jin’s signature soft tone quietly conveying the lingering emotions of a breakup. Without relying on flashy production, the song drew attention through the strength of the music itself, further enhancing trust in Jin as a solo artist. The response shows that his music is not limited to momentary buzz but continues to be consumed over time.

The album ‘Echo’ has also surpassed 1.1 billion cumulative streams, further solidifying its presence. Tracks across the album, including the title song, have received balanced support, translating into strong album-level performance. Through a diverse lineup of songs, Jin drew repeated listens from audiences with his delicate expression and stable vocals.

His influence on Spotify has grown as well. As of February 2, Jin surpassed 10 million followers on the platform, recording 10,035,908 followers. This serves as an indicator that his global listener base continues to expand steadily as a solo artist.

Beyond streaming achievements, his award record has also continued. Jin ranked No. 1 in the Best Solo Artist category at the first ‘Kstyle Awards 2025,’ hosted by Japanese Hallyu media Kstyle, and was selected as ‘2025 K-POP Artist’ by Mexico’s online pop music station House Radio for the second consecutive year. In addition, with “Don’t Say You Love Me,” he won both ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Top 20 Songs of the Year’ at the ‘2025 Asian Pop Music Awards (APMA),’ earning recognition for both musicality and popularity.

Having released the solo albums ‘Happy’ and ‘Echo’ consecutively, Jin has built his own identity through musical experimentation beyond genre boundaries. As one of the K-pop solo artists who left a clear mark in 2025, attention is now on how Jin will continue his presence on the global music stage in 2026.
