According to the SNEP on April 27, BTS’ fifth full-length album ‘ARIRANG’ has been awarded a Platinum certification in the album category. The certification is granted to albums that achieve the equivalent of 100,000 units in combined physical sales, downloads, and streaming.
This marks BTS’ fourth Platinum-certified album in France, following ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7,’ ‘Proof,’ and ‘LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER.’
Notably, ‘ARIRANG’ reached Gold status just six days after its release and achieved Platinum in approximately one month. This significantly outpaces previous releases such as ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ and ‘Proof,’ which each took over a year to reach the same milestone—highlighting BTS’ growing influence in the region.
The group is also seeing strong results in Japan, where ‘ARIRANG’ surpassed 750,000 shipments as of March, earning a Triple Platinum certification in just 11 days after release.
Meanwhile, BTS kicked off their “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN NORTH AMERICA” on April 25 (local time) at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The tour will span 12 cities, including Mexico City, Las Vegas, and Chicago, with a total of 31 shows planned.
