Kim Taehyung, aka V from BTS, demonstrated his genuine love for fans by organizing a special event for the release of his digital single “FRI(END)S.”
Following the plan Taehyung had laid out before his military enlistment, BigHit Music hosted the exclusive event “FRI(END)S PARTY” for ARMY (BTS fans). This one-day event was packed with a variety of sights and activities, offering fans more diverse ways to enjoy the new song.
“FRI(END)S” was released at the beginning of the spring season, and the “FRI(END)S PARTY” took place in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, on the 16th, capturing the essence of spring.
The “FRI(END)S PARTY,” spread over three floors, offered different types of fun on each level but was overall connected to the concept and message of “FRI(END)S.”
In keeping with the theme, fans were required to adhere to a pink dress code and various items at the event were also in pink.
On the first floor, guests were welcomed with a special gift. Inside the pink box was a diffuser labeled “FRI(END)S,” a photo postcard showcasing Taehyung’s enchanting visuals, and a handwritten letter by Taehyung himself.
In the letter, Taehyung posed a witty inquiry, “Let’s put the ‘end’ in friends,” the lyrics from “FRI(END)S,” alongside “ARMY, what are we to each other?”
The diffuser, named “V FRI(END)S FRAGRANCE,” was specially created by Taehyung for this fan event and can’t be found anywhere else, making it a unique scent in the world.
The second floor featured a phone booth for listening to Taehyung’s voice messages and a space for writing letters to him directly. At the spot marked “VOICE CALL FROM V,” three payphones were installed. Fans could listen to three messages left by Taehyung by following hints provided in the instructions.
Through voice messages, Taehyung greeted fans with, “Are you all doing well, ARMY? I’ve left a message in advance in case you miss me. I hope we all have a great time today. Bye,” and also promised, “Knock knock, ARMYs, how are you? I hope everyone is having a good 2024. Let’s meet again in good health and create more memories.”
Next to the phone booth was the “LETTER TO V” area, where fans expressed their thoughts and emotions towards Taehyung.
The second floor also featured a “PHOTO ZONE” that recreated the setting from the “FRI(END)S” music video. This photo zone enabled fans to take pictures as if they were part of the music video scene, using various props to create lasting memories.
The third floor was adorned with a gallery displaying “FRI(END)S” concept photos, a space to watch the music video, and more. Fans enjoyed the unique fun and were moved by watching short films, photos, and videos that encapsulated the meaning and mood of “FRI(END)S.”
Through this event, as well as many others in the past, Taehyung has demonstrated his commitment to reciprocating the love his fans have shown him. This dedication has earned him a loyal fanbase that remains steadfastly by his side through thick and thin.
