On June 26, Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, shared previews of his 224-page photobook titled “TYPE 1,” described as a collage of his personal taste.
BigHit Music announced, “This photobook captures V’s moments of complete rest, revealing his comfortable and natural self as he takes a break from his busy schedule to enjoy some time alone.”
Taehyung participated in every step of the planning and production, from selecting the travel destination to deciding on the title and the photobook’s components, culminating in a 224-page photobook packed with various moments he wishes to share with ARMY.
In the photos, Taehyung is the quintessential summer boy enjoying the outdoors. He is seen playing catch on a green lawn, relaxing by the sea, and feature a close-up shot of his handsome face.
Taehyung exudes confidence as he goes shirtless, displaying his well-toned physique and broad shoulders. He also displayed his unique relaxed vibe with photos of his wet back, disheveled hair, and natural expressions.
In the main poster, a shirtless Taehyung is leaning sexily against a wall with lyrics from his 2019 self-composed song “Scenery.” It is a fitting song for his photobook, as throughout “Scenery,” Taehyung is a photographer who captures the story, the memory, and the scenery in his photos.
“TYPE 1” will be available in two versions: Hardcover and Magazine. Pre-orders begin on June 27, and it will be released on July 9 on the Weverse Shop and through retailers.
July 9 is a special day called “ARMY Day,” as it marks the anniversary when BTS officially named their fanbase ARMY. The photobook is a gift to celebrate the event.
