BTS has once again proven their enduring global impact, adding a new music video to their 700-million-view lineup. BigHit Music confirmed that the “Permission to Dance” music video surpassed 700 million views at around 5:14 PM on the 10th.

This marks the group’s 10th music video to cross the 700-million threshold, following hits like “Boy With Luv,” “FAKE LOVE,” and “Dynamite.”

The song, a bright dance-pop track, delivers a comforting message: anyone can dance freely without permission, especially after a long, exhausting day. Released during the COVID-19 pandemic, it encouraged listeners to find joy, freedom, and resilience through music, offering warmth and hope at a difficult time.

The music video mirrors this uplifting theme with its vibrant, cheerful production. In the final section, the members perform choreography incorporating International Sign gestures alongside a diverse group of people, delivering a message of unity and optimism.

Upon its release, the track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for seven consecutive weeks. It later earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

BTS is preparing for a full-group comeback next spring, with a large-scale world tour also in the works.
