BTS’s fifth full-length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ reached No. 1 on Spotify’s ‘Countdown Charts Global’ as of February 18. The album first topped the chart on January 21 and has maintained its position for five consecutive weeks, reaffirming the immense anticipation from music fans worldwide.
The Spotify Countdown Charts track pre-save numbers for albums and singles, serving as a gauge of global listeners’ expectations ahead of a release. ‘ARIRANG’ has recorded over 3.45 million pre-saves on the global audio and music streaming platform, highlighting the strong excitement surrounding the album even before its official launch.
BTS is set to release ‘ARIRANG’ on March 20 at 1 PM KST, followed by the ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ event in the Gwanghwamun Square area on March 21. The performance will be live-streamed on Netflix, giving fans worldwide a chance to celebrate the group’s long-awaited return.
