BTS’s J-Hope recognized for exemplary military service, sets sights on 2025.
BTS member J-Hope is receiving widespread recognition for his model military service as he transitions into a pivotal year.
On January 5th KST, J-Hope shared a series of nostalgic photos on his social media, reflecting on the meaningful experiences of 2024. His military achievements, including earning the title of Special Warrior, an early promotion, and serving as squad leader, showcased his dedication.
Celebrated military service
The photos revealed heartfelt moments from his military service. On his discharge day, dozens of fellow soldiers celebrated his departure, and notably, senior officers, including colonels, were seen kneeling in respect. This rare gesture highlighted the impact J-Hope had on his comrades and superiors alike.
One colonel praised him in a message, stating, “You performed your duties as a drill instructor with excellence. Your contributions to building a stronger military will not be forgotten.” J-Hope also proudly shared his collection of 11 commendations received during his service, further cementing his reputation as a model soldier.
Looking ahead to 2025
In a heartfelt post on Weverse, J-Hope reflected on his year: “2024 was an emotionally intense year for me, filled with a mix of worry, excitement, and solitude as I transitioned out of the military. Now, I’m stepping into 2025 with anticipation and determination.” He expressed his hope for everyone to “blossom beautifully” this year and emphasized how 2025 felt like a crucial chapter in his journey.
Continuing acts of kindness
True to his philanthropic spirit, J-Hope recently donated 100 million won (approximately $79,000) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to support victims of the Jeju Air flight accident at Muan International Airport. This act further solidified his positive influence as both a global superstar and a compassionate individual.
With a year of personal milestones and impactful actions, J-Hope is poised to make 2025 a transformative year for himself and those he inspires.
