BTS’s Jimin, who is currently serving in the military, shared an update and New Year greetings in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
On January 29, Jimin wrote on the global fan community Weverse, “I enlisted in December of the year before last, and now, two years have passed. I’ve been serving for about 1 year and 2 months, and yes… time really seems to pass differently here..”
He added, “It hasn’t been easy, but there are things I’m learning and feeling, and I’m looking forward to the day when I can have fun conversations with all of you about what’s happened during this time.”
He mentioned that his daily routine hasn’t changed much. Since it’s the military, he trains, works, and exercises, and before he knows it, the day passes, and it’s time to sleep.
However, some things have changed. After the new year, he said the conversations he has with Jungkook, who enlisted with him, before bedtime have become more frequent and meaningful.
Jimin explained, “As the day we meet ARMY gets closer, we’ve been talking a lot about the things we need to prepare before we meet, what kind of things we’ll show, and what kind of lives we will lead. We’ve had many conversations about all of that.“
He admitted, “Honestly, there’s also a bit of fear.” He continued, “It’s been quite a long time since we performed together, and it’s been a while since we’ve fully dedicated ourselves to the stage and music, so I feel a bit scared. But the heart to deliver the best stage for all of you who have waited for us hasn’t changed.“
Jimin revealed he is determined to prepare diligently. He added, “I’ll do my best to return in a great state. To our beloved ARMY, who I miss and am so grateful for,

Jimin and Jungkook will both be discharged in June. BTS’s full-group activities are planned to resume in the second half of the year.
