BTS’s Jungkook has spoken out against repeated home intrusion incidents. On September 1, during a live broadcast celebrating his birthday, he addressed the recent case of a woman in her 40s who broke into his residence and was caught by police.
“I was watching everything on my home CCTV. When I heard the police arriving, (the intruder) tried to rush out through the underground parking lot but was eventually caught. She said she was my friend. ARMYs are like family and friends, but I had to make it clear—being supportive is one thing, but what’s wrong is wrong.”
He added a stern warning.
“If you come, I’ll lock you in. Everything is recorded as evidence, and you’ll be dragged away. If you step into my parking lot without my permission, you’ll be trapped until I open the door. CCTV is everywhere. Unless you want to end up at the police station, don’t ever come in.”
The Yongsan Police confirmed that on August 31, a Korean woman identified as “A” was booked for housebreaking. She had entered Jungkook’s detached home parking lot around 11:20 p.m. and was arrested on the spot after the singer reported her. Police are investigating her motive.
This was not the first case: on June 11, shortly after Jungkook’s military discharge, a Chinese woman in her 30s was caught pressing his front door password multiple times and was also arrested.
