SUGA, a member of BTS has effectively completed his public service duties as of June 18.

According to a News1 report on June 19, SUGA used his remaining annual leave and finished his final day of work on June 18. Although his official discharge date is June 21, he is no longer required to report for duty. His leave was used through a standard and approved process.

SUGA began his alternative military service on September 22, 2023. During his service, he also participated in a period of basic military training. With the end of his service, fans are looking forward to the full reunion of all BTS members. On June 13, SUGA was seen attending j-hope’s solo concert, wearing a beanie and mask while showing his support. His appearance heightened anticipation among fans for the group’s comeback as a whole.

BTS has experienced a military-related break since Jin, the group’s oldest member, enlisted in December 2022. One by one, the members have completed their service. Jin was discharged in June 2024, followed by j-hope in October 2024. RM and V completed their duties on June 10, and Jimin and Jungkook were discharged on June 11.

On June 13, BTS marked the 12th anniversary of their debut. To celebrate the occasion, their agency Big Hit Music, under HYBE Labels, hosted the ‘2025 BTS FESTA’ on June 13 and 14 at KINTEX in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. On the same dates, j-hope held the final and encore shows of his first solo world tour at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, sharing emotional moments with fans.

With all seven members now discharged or at the end of their service period, excitement is growing over the group’s full return and their future activities.
