On December 9th, the Asia Brand Research Institute, Korea’s top big-data evaluation organization, announced that BTS’s V, aka Kim Taehyung, has been ranked No. 1 in the “K-Brand Index” for individual boy group members.
The K-Brand Index is a big-data system developed by the Asia Brand Research Institute in collaboration with domestic and international researchers. Unlike traditional big-data analysis systems, it relies on verification by expert advisory panels in each field, from sample extraction to index selection.

For this month’s K-Brand Index in the boy group individual category, the institute analyzed 2,089,846,602 online big-data entries collected from November 1 to November 30, focusing on the top 20 most-searched individuals on portal sites.
Following BTS’s V at No. 1 in the boy group individual rankings are ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo (No. 2), BTS’s Jungkook (No. 3), BTS’s Jin (No. 4), EXO’s Kai (No. 5), BIGBANG’s G-Dragon (No. 6), TVXQ’s Yunho (No. 7), BTS’s RM (No. 8), EXO’s Baekhyun (No. 9), and BTS’s Jimin (No. 10), completing the Top 10.

Meanwhile, the Asia Brand Research Institute, founded in 2016, annually presents the “K-Brand Awards” based on big-data evaluation metrics for major companies and individuals.
