BTS member Jimin has been swept up in new dating rumors with actress Song Da-eun after a video she uploaded on TikTok fueled widespread speculation among fans.
The situation has drawn significant attention, especially after fellow member V’s previous dating controversy involving BLACKPINK’s Jennie.
Song, who has faced similar rumors involving Jimin several times in the past, has previously spoken about receiving a wave of malicious comments from some BTS fans and expressed emotional distress over the harassment.
On Wednesday, Song posted a TikTok video showing what appeared to be an intimate encounter with Jimin, effectively making their alleged relationship public. The video shows Song waiting for Jimin in front of her home elevator, followed by Jimin’s face being fully visible, as well as their seemingly affectionate tone and comfortable atmosphere, making it difficult for viewers to dismiss the possibility of a romantic relationship.

However, when contacted by Xportsnews, Song’s representatives said it was “difficult to confirm” the relationship, while Jimin’s agency BigHit Music has remained silent. Even as the video went viral and sparked heated debate online, the agency had yet to issue an official statement as of Thursday.
The incident has drawn comparisons to V’s earlier dating rumors with Jennie, which began in 2022 and continued over multiple sightings and leaked private photos. Despite images surfacing of Jennie filming V in a makeup room and the pair allegedly enjoying a date in Paris, both sides consistently avoided confirming or denying the relationship.
Industry observers speculate that Song’s decision to upload the TikTok video could be a form of public pushback against the lack of official acknowledgment regarding her rumored relationship with Jimin.

In a past livestream, Song addressed criticism from BTS fans. “Just because the idol you like loves me doesn’t mean I deserve hate,” she said. “I didn’t approach him first, so please stop blaming me.”
In May, Song also publicly responded to malicious comments that compared her social status to Jimin’s status. “You’ve been sending me countless so-called ‘logical’ emails explaining why I deserve hate. But people shouldn’t be divided by rank,” she said at the time. “Humans are inherently dignified, and understanding each other is what makes society and relationships work.”
As BigHit Music has historically remained silent regarding BTS members’ dating rumors, many fans are now closely watching whether the agency will break its silence in response to the fresh rumors.
