(G)I-DLE‘s Miyeon has adorably apologized to BTS‘s Jungkook.

On July 18, ahead of a special anniversary episode of M Countdown, Miyeon appeared on the weekly Waiting Room live with the MCs RIIZE‘s Sohee, ZEROBASEONE‘s Hanbin, and BOYNEXTDOOR‘s Jaehyun.
Of course, Miyeon was the previous MC so the four idols got along perfectly.
At one point, Miyeon was asked about her most memorable “Mistake” while being MC, and it included Jungkook as she explained, “When Jungkook sunbaenim won first place, the head of the trophy was spinning round and round. I remember being so surprised.”
Miyeon was speaking about the iconic moment on July 27, 2023, when Jungkook won first place for his song “SEVEN.” After the results were announced, Miyeon took the trophy on behalf of Jungkook because he wasn’t there… but the head fell off.
MONSTA X‘s Shownu even had to hold it as she made her closing comments.
Jungkook adorably referenced it in his message on Weverse after.
“ARMY, thank you for number one on ‘M Countdown!’ Thanks to you all, I was able to be number one on ‘M Countdown’ twice!!! Hehe. Uh… I was actually watching it live? I saw the trophy head come off hahaha. Hahahahahahah thank you!!!”

Reminiscing on what happened, Miyon took the chance to apologize again, adding, “Let me take the chance to apologize again. It was such a fascinating experience.”
Even a year later, netizens still find it adorable and Miyeon captured the hearts of fans worldwide with her cuteness.
