It has been confirmed that BTS member J-Hope has purchased not one but two units in the luxurious Afer Hangang apartment complex, which means he now owns four luxury apartments in Seoul. The news recently made headlines when J-Hope bought a penthouse in the building for 12 billion KRW (approximately 9 million USD), paid entirely in cash. However, a recent investigation by Biz Hankook has revealed that about a month later, J-Hope also acquired the unit directly below the penthouse.

Following the recent purchases, J-Hope now owns four luxury properties: two units in Afer Hangang and two units in Trimage, solidifying his status as the epitome of “young and rich.”

In June, it was reported that J-Hope, who is currently serving in the military, purchased the Afer Hangang penthouse, a duplex unit with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The exclusive floor area of the penthouse is 273.86 square meters (approximately 2,950 square feet), with a total area of 361.09 square meters (approximately 3,885 square feet). The contract for this unit was signed on June 3, 2020, and the ownership was officially transferred to him on June 10, 2023, following the final payment.

However, he also signed a contract for the unit below the penthouse on June 23, 2020, and finalized the purchase on July 26, 2023. This unit, which features three bedrooms and three bathrooms on a single floor, has an exclusive floor area of 232.86 square meters (approximately 2,507 square feet) and a total area of 299.68 square meters (approximately 3,226 square feet). While the purchase price for this unit hasn’t been disclosed, similar high-rise units in Afer Hangang are currently valued between 11 billion KRW and 12 billion KRW. Given that J-Hope did not take out any mortgages, it is estimated that he spent over 20 billion KRW (approximately 15 million USD) in cash for both apartments.

Korean netizens commented:

“Lucky.”

“When he finishes his military service and moves into a new home, he might decide to let go of his current place. Originally, one of the current homes was meant for his parents when they would visit Seoul. If I had a lot of money, I’d also want to live close to my family but still have my own space.”

“I’m so envious he was able to buy all the apartments in straight cash.”

“All I can say is ‘wow’ because he bought the apartment with his own money.”

“I’m so jealous.”

“Can I have one of the apartments?”

“It’s my dream to buy apartments on different floors like that too.”

“He’s really the epitome of ‘Young and rich’.”

“That’s so crazy how he bought all the apartments in all cahs.”

“It’s all thanks to his fans who bought all that merch and albums. lol.”

“I’m just jealous he’s able to buy all those apartment units.”

“That’s so crazy.”

“I want to be able to buy an apartment unit like that all in cash.”

“J-Hope must be happy.”

“I’m so envious J-Hope.”

“He’s living in a different world.”

“So lucky.”
