BTS member Jungkook’s late-night live broadcast is making waves online.
On February 26th KST, a video titled “Jungkook’s drunken live broadcast where even fans begged him to turn it off” spread rapidly across various online communities. The post contained footage of Jungkook communicating with fans during his live broadcast the previous day.
In the video, Jungkook addressed his smoking, saying, “I want to talk about smoking. I’m thirty now. I smoked a lot. I tried really hard to quit.” He added, “The moment I say this, the company will probably go crazy. It’s not something I discussed with the company, but I spoke out of frustration.”
He also stated, “I love singing and I’m someone who wants to be honest. If I do something wrong, I want to admit it,” while appearing to hold back on more direct expressions. During this process, he shouted the English expletive ‘FXXX’.
Jungkook also opened up about his music career. Revealing the pressure he feels, he said, “I don’t normally listen to music. I only listen to it because I don’t want to fall behind.” He continued, “I’m human too. I just want to enjoy myself. How many people in this world can truly be honest? I wanted to be honest with ARMYs.” However, he drew attention by mentioning, “If it wasn’t for the company, I would have told you everything.”
During the broadcast, the voice of an acquaintance seemingly trying to dissuade him was also caught on camera. Jungkook reacted by asking, “Do you think the company will scold me a lot?” When some fans urged him to end the live broadcast, he replied, “Why are you telling me to turn it off? Don’t boss me around.”
The live video has since spread rapidly, drawing mixed reactions. Fans are expressing both concern and support for Jungkook’s remarks.
In December of last year, Jungkook was swept up in dating rumors with aespa member Winter. At the time, speculations surfaced online following alleged sightings of him attending an aespa concert during his military leave in March, along with claims that the two had matching dog tattoos, bracelets, hats, and nail art.
Jungkook’s agency, Big Hit Music, and Winter’s agency, SM Entertainment, have not released any official statements regarding the matter. This contrasts with the swift “groundless” denials and strong stances issued when Jungkook and Winter were previously rumored to be dating Lee Yoo Bi and ENHYPEN’s Jungwon, respectively.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to make a comeback with their 5th studio album, “ARIRANG,” on March 20th at 1 PM. They plan to meet fans the following day at 8 PM through the ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
