K-netizens are expressing “amused disbelief” toward Indian singer Ipsitaa for reportedly plagiarizing multiple K-pop music videos.

On an online forum, netizens shared a “good laugh” over Ipsitaa’s recent music video for her song “Kadar Na Jaane.” According to fans, her video contains scenes resembling iconic moments from several K-pop MVs, including those of BTS, BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon, BABYMONSTER, and more.

The music video begins with a scene strikingly similar to Wonyoung falling out of an airplane in IVE’s “I AM.”

Additionally, K-netizens pointed out that the aesthetic of the video alludes to aespa’s KWANGYA world, BLACKPINK’s “Whistle,” and scenes from IZ*ONE’s music videos.

Rather than leaving malicious comments, many K-netizens found humor in what they are calling “blatant plagiarism,” comparing the music video to “a bootleg CD from Temu,” “a K-pop parody video,” or “something created in a single day at a K-pop dance academy.”

Some also noted how the video generally incorporates K-pop-inspired dance moves and aesthetics.

Reactions include:

  1. “What is this now?”
  2. “This is so ridiculous that it’s funny.”
  3. “I’m not even mad.”
  4. “Wait, lol, this feels more like a parody.”
  5. “It starts with ‘I Am,’ hahaha.”
  6. “Dancing on wings, the outfit is similar too, haha. It’s so identical that it doesn’t even feel like plagiarism, it’s just funny.”
  7. “Wow, the outfits, choreography, and even the backup dancers are all K-pop style, haha. I’ve seen some of this in my fave’s music videos, lol. Is this a K-pop tribute? I have no idea about the lyrics, though.”
  8. “It’s like a K-pop collection bought from Temu.”
  9. “aespa, lol, she copied KWANGYA.”
  10. “It’s so absurd that I’m not even mad, it just feels like a parody video, lol.”
  11. “I’m speechless.”
  12. “Hahaha, this is ridiculous.”
  13. “It’s like they photoshopped over the original music video.”
  14. “What is this, lol?”
  15. “It looks like they shot this in a K-pop studio in one day. What even is this?”
  16. “Looks like they wanted to do a lot of things… it’s just funny, lol.”
  17. “Oh, this is hilarious. You can see exactly where they copied from, lol.”
  18. “Hahaha, this is so funny. They used everything, lol.”
  19. “It’s like K-pop bibimbap.”
  20. “They didn’t even try to be subtle, it’s so blatant that it’s just funny.”
  21. “It’s like one of those ‘Latest Hits’ mixtapes sold at rest stops.”
