Jungkook becomes first Asian solo artist with 18 songs over 100 million streams on Spotify

BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven himself a true “history maker,” setting a new milestone on Spotify.

According to the official account of the World Music Awards, Jungkook is now the first Asian solo artist to have all 18 songs listed on his Spotify profile surpass 100 million streams each.

This unprecedented achievement marks a first not only in K-pop but across the entire history of Asian music.

The 18 tracks that have crossed the 100-million mark include: “Seven”, “Standing Next to You”, “Left and Right”, “3D”, “Dreamers”, “Stay Alive”, “Still With You”, “Yes or No”, “Never Let Go”, “Please Don’t Change”, “Hate You”, “Closer to You”, “Somebody”, “Too Sad To Dance”, “Shot Glass of Tears”, “Too Much”, “My You”, and “i wonder…”.

International media outlet Oneily Vibe spotlighted the feat, reporting that Jungkook stands alongside pop icons Billie Eilish and Harry Styles as the only artists in Spotify history to achieve over 100 million streams for every original song on their profile.

Jungkook’s total unfiltered streams on his personal Spotify account have surpassed 9.2 billion, the fastest for any Asian artist and the first-ever for a K-pop soloist. His track “Seven” alone has exceeded 2.45 billion streams, setting records as the fastest and first Asian song to reach such numbers.

He is also the first Asian solo artist to have three songs with over 1 billion streams on Spotify: “Seven”, “Left and Right”, and “Standing Next to You”. Notably, songs like “Dreamers”, “Left and Right”, and “Stay Alive” alone reached 1 billion in the shortest time ever—a nearly unmatched achievement in global music history.

Jungkook once hit a peak of 40 million monthly Spotify listeners, the highest ever for a K-pop soloist. He continues to maintain strong numbers, with over 17.5 million monthly listeners recently, showcasing unwavering support from his global fanbase.

His first solo album GOLDEN has made history as the first and longest-charting album by an Asian soloist on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart, remaining for an impressive 89 consecutive weeks. The title track “Seven” has also appeared on the Top Songs Global weekly chart for 105 weeks straight, cementing its status as a record-breaking hit.

“Seven” has been officially registered in the Guinness World Records for four global records: most weekly streams (89,748,171 filtered), fastest song to reach 100 million streams, fastest to hit 1 billion streams, and more.

Jungkook’s achievements go far beyond numbers. By dominating the world’s leading music streaming platform, he has solidified his place as one of the top global solo artists—further establishing himself as a true ambassador of K-pop on the global stage.
