On February 25, Min held a press conference in Seoul to discuss the first trial ruling in her lawsuit related to the shareholder agreement and put option dispute with HYBE, as well as her future plans. This marked her fourth public press conference since April 2024.
At the event, Min appeared wearing a black jacket layered over a white T shirt featuring the prominent logo of a luxury brand. The mix of a formal blazer with a casual branded tee caught the public’s eye.
The outfit gained further attention due to its connection to V of BTS, who has served as a global ambassador for the same brand for several years. During the first trial, messenger conversations between Min and V were submitted as court evidence, becoming a hot topic.
According to reports, V had sent Min a message expressing that certain plagiarism allegations made him think, “I also thought it seemed similar.” After the contents were disclosed, V clarified through social media that the messages were part of a private conversation shared in empathy, adding that he had no intention of taking sides and was surprised that the conversation had been submitted as evidence without his consent.
Although the T shirt design was not identical to items worn by V, online users speculated whether Min’s choice to wear the brand at this particular moment was intentional, with some questioning if it was a calculated move while others viewed it as a coincidence.
Meanwhile, Min stated at the press conference that although she won the first trial regarding the shareholder agreement and put option dispute, she is willing to forgo the 25.6 billion won payment she is entitled to if HYBE withdraws all ongoing lawsuits. She claimed the primary reason behind her decision was the future of NewJeans. HYBE responded briefly that it had no official position regarding her latest press conference.
