BTS‘s RM has been hit with major criticism for his “hypocrisy” in a recent speech.
Recently, RM gave a speech at the APEC CEO Summit 2025 during the cultural session titled “Cultural and Creative Industries in the APEC Region and the Soft Power of K-Culture.”
Yet, when one quote was shared from RM as he asked for help for “creators all over the world,” it was hit with significant backlash from netizens.

Netizens brought back clips where they claimed RM was boasting about BTS at the detriment of other groups, particularly when it came to the group “paving the way” for Asian artists. Others also criticized RM’s personality and alluded to recent scandals, including those surrounding HYBE, as a way of discrediting the idol’s words.
