BTS J-Hope continued his tradition of meaningful giving by making consecutive donations in celebration of his birthday.
On February 18th KST, Asan Medical Center in Seoul announced that J-Hope donated 200 million KRW(~138,000 USD) to support the development of its children’s hospital.
Marking his birthday on February 18th, J-Hope generously contributed the funds, which will be used to improve medical facilities and the treatment environment for pediatric and adolescent patients. The donation will also support home based medical care for critically ill children and the operation of psychological healing programs.
J-Hope shared, “I believe that children will one day move toward a hopeful future. I sincerely hope they can overcome pain and dream bright dreams.” He added, “I also continue to donate as a way of giving back to ARMY, who always send me tremendous support. I’m grateful to be able to practice meaningful sharing again on my birthday this year, following last year.”
Beginning with a 100 million KRW donation to Asan Medical Center in 2022, J-Hope pledged continued support by donating 200 million KRW to its children’s hospital in 2025. With this latest contribution, his cumulative donations to the hospital have reached 500 million KRW, reflecting his steadfast commitment to philanthropy.
In addition, J-Hope donated 100 million KRW to Child Fund Korea. The funds will be used as scholarships for students in need at his alma mater, Gwangju International High School, as well as Jeonnam Girls’ Commercial High School in his local region.
