As South Korea held its 9th nationwide local elections and National Assembly by elections on June 3, a number of celebrities shared photos and messages encouraging civic participation.

Jin visited Polling Station No. 3 in Hannam dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, to cast his ballot. The singer drew attention for taking part in the election while currently carrying out his ‘ARIRANG’ world tour schedule.
Musical actors Kim So Hyun and Son Jun Ho also shared a photo of themselves visiting a polling station with their son, Joo An. TV personality Jang Sung Kyu revealed that he had accompanied his son to a polling station for the first time, writing, “To those who are elected, please take good care of our children.”
TV personality Jang Young Ran posted a voting photo and encouraged participation, saying, “Even if you’re busy, please make sure to vote.”
Actor Yoon Jong Hoon also uploaded a photo taken outside a polling station and wrote, “Let’s all vote.”

Meanwhile, Cortis members Martin and Juhoon had previously shared photos from early voting. Born in 2008, the two were eligible to vote for the first time this year. Holding their early voting certificates, they commented, “We’re adults now.”
