In a recent interview released on April 20 via Rolling Stone’s YouTube channel, Jungkook expressed gratitude for how others perceive him but admitted he has not reached that level in his own eyes. He added that he hopes to one day feel confident enough to call himself a star.
As a personal benchmark, Jungkook pointed to his English skills, explaining that being able to engage in natural small talk in English would feel like a breakthrough. He noted that he has tried various language learning apps, including Duolingo, but emphasized that consistency remains the most important factor.
Despite his modest stance, Jungkook has achieved remarkable success as a solo artist. His 2023 single “Seven (feat. Latto)” topped the Billboard Hot 100, while “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and “Standing Next to You” also charted high.

Reflecting on balancing solo and group activities, Jungkook said he tends not to overthink and instead enjoys the creative process. He also highlighted the group’s strong teamwork, noting that while each member has a different pace and style, performing together defines them as a team.
Jungkook also participated in the track “Hooligan” from BTS’s fifth full album “ARIRANG,” released last month, which has received positive responses from both critics and fans.
Concluding the interview, Jungkook shared that he feels comfortable being the youngest member of BTS, describing it as a position he has always been used to.
