BTS members Jungkook and V have drawn significant attention after opening up about a not-so-glamorous aspect of their fitness routine while being on tour.

During a recent livestream, Jungkook and V started talking about their experiences with “sasaeng” fans, rebuking the fact that so many of them followed them even to the hotel gym. The idols reasoned that if the fans were there to work out, they would be fine with it, but trying to talk to them by invading their private time and personal space was not it.
Taehyung : If you’re really only going to work out, then that’s okay.
Jungkook : But if you start talking to us?
Taehyung : Then that’s no good. You shouldn’t do that. If you’re only going to work out, that’s okay.
jungkook : It’s our personal lives, isn’t it! pic.twitter.com/62gr6MFGiE

V then shared that they had gone to the gym at 2 am the night before and were still surrounded by at least 20 people at the establishment. Jungkook also playfully commented that it was such an odd hour for so many people to be in the gym, while V added that he wouldn’t care about the number of people as long as they don’t stare at them while they are there.

This direct callout has stirred up some heated reactions from fans, who find it alarming that, despite multiple instances of being called out by the artists, such stalker fans continue to cross the line.
The way they try to go to the gym at obscene hours to avoid being bothered but you have fucking idiots still going because they think a y/n moment is gonna happen 😭
They can’t stand you, LMFAO https://t.co/Dprbvjr2xk

Okay here’s the thing – life is not fanfiction and you are not Y/N.
If you happen to be at the same gym as them at this hour and go to them to talk to them they will know exactly the reason why you are there. It’s not gonna be your y/n moment.
The only thing that moment will be… https://t.co/OI2ETTCPne

And let me tell you, those people will be back because they have no shame, even though they’re calling you a stalker to your face. https://t.co/HxJ86lYeFP

They’ve been stern about it, and they’ve also been playfully nice about it.
Just know that if you cross that boundary, you might end up in handcuffs. Stalking is a crime here. https://t.co/dbNOZFvXPt

While the instances of the BTS members being stalked keep getting more and more serious, the legal repurcussion in such cases appear to be failing to set a precedent.
