BTS SUGA’s police questioning for his DUI has come to an end.

SUGA appeared at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on August 23 at 7:45PM KST after completing his public service military duties for the day to attend his questioning, and he’s reported to have completed his first police investigation at around 10:54PM KST.

After the questioning, SUGA appeared before reporters with a stern expression, stating, “I am truly sorry. I deeply apologize for the pain and disappointment caused by my wrongful actions. I am very regretful and will ensure that such an incident does not happen again. I apologize to all those who have supported me. Once again, I’m sorry.”

He did not answer questions about what kind of questions he received from police, why he did not report to the police after being caught drunk driving, whether he had only drunk a beer despite having a blood alcohol concentration at the level of license suspension, requests for him to leave BTS, or if he was unaware it was illegal to ride an electric scooter after drinking.

The police have stated that they will thoroughly investigate the details of the case and various suspicions.

SUGA is currently serving as a social service worker for his mandatory military duties, and his discharge date is set for June of next year.

As previously reported, SUGA was found by police after falling over on an electric scooter in the Hannam-dong area of Seoul. After police discerned the star was drinking and driving, he was brought to a police station, where he was tested to have an alcohol blood level of 0.227%. The percentage is reportedly the highest found in a celebrity DUI incident. Police have stated he will face a criminal investigation for operating an electric scooter drunk, which is considered the same as operating a car under South Korean law. SUGA and BIGHIT MUSIC have since released formal apologies.
