Jimin of BTS has added another milestone in the United States, further strengthening his presence in the global music market. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified his collaborative track ‘Angel Pt.1’ as Gold after it surpassed 500,000 units in the United States.
Jimin saw immediate success with ‘Angel Pt.1’ following its release as part of the soundtrack for the Hollywood film ‘Fast X’ in May 2023. The track debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, and reached No. 82 on the UK Official Singles Chart. It also contributed to the ‘Fast X’ soundtrack debuting at No. 79 on the Billboard 200, and within four days of release, it reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 100 countries.

Jimin made history as the first Korean artist to participate in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise soundtrack through this collaboration. The track features Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE, and Muni Long, and it has continued to perform strongly on streaming platforms, surpassing 244.7 million streams on Spotify.
Jimin has maintained strong commercial performance throughout the U.S. market. His solo track ‘Who’ has sold 5 million units, while ‘Like Crazy’ has reached 2 million units, with both qualifying for multi-platinum status. Furthermore, his solo albums ‘FACE’ and ‘MUSE’, alongside other solo tracks including ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, ‘Filter’, ‘Serendipity (Full Length Edition)’, and ‘Lie’, have all met RIAA Gold eligibility thresholds.
