“J-Hope’s journey across genres continues.”

J-Hope’s latest digital single, ‘Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)’, released on March 7th KST, is receiving widespread acclaim from international media. Critics are highlighting his evolving artistry and expanded musical range.

Billboard described the track as “a dreamy groove crafted through the fusion of J-Hope’s smooth rapping and Miguel’s signature velvety vocals.” The outlet further noted, “This song continues J-Hope’s genre-crossing musical journey, adding another meaningful piece to his solo discography while showcasing his artistic spectrum.”

Consequence of Sound recognized J-Hope as an artist who seamlessly blends rapping and singing, stating, ”‘Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)’ presents a different texture compared to his first solo album, ‘Jack In The Box,’ which was heavily influenced by rock sounds.”

Grammy.com also weighed in, observing, “J-Hope departs from the old-school rap style he showcased in ‘Jack In The Box’ (2022) and ‘HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1’ (2024) to deliver a heartfelt love song alongside Miguel’s soothing vocals.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, J-Hope reflected on the inspiration behind his new release, stating, “I’ve come to understand the warmth that stability brings. While exploring the theme of ‘love,’ I wanted to discover another side of myself, and I believe that journey will continue to inspire me.”

He also expressed his deep sense of responsibility toward his fans, saying, “I’m fully aware of the many people who watch over me and support everything I do. That’s why I always strive to never forget that responsibility.”

Discussing his upcoming North American tour, he shared, “I see this tour as a full representation of J-Hope. It will be like a window into every aspect of who I am.”

Additionally, major media outlets such as Teen Vogue and NME have been quick to cover J-Hope’s new release, further amplifying the excitement surrounding his latest project.

Meanwhile, J-Hope is set to appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on March 11th at 12:35 PM, where he will perform ‘Sweet Dreams’ alongside Miguel in their first-ever joint stage for the song.
