On August 15, BTS member Jimin captured attention with a special stage outfit celebrating South Korea’s National Liberation Day. A BTS staff member shared photos on social media from the group’s ‘BTS World Tour ARIRANG‘ concert held at Arlington Stadium in the United States.
The photos revealed Jimin sporting red and blue hair accessories, which symbolize the ‘Taegeuk‘ (the red and blue circle) in the center of the South Korean flag. The staff member confirmed the design’s special meaning by adding a Korean flag emoji to the post. Another photo showed Jimin wearing a t-shirt intricately decorated with beads representing ‘Geon-gon-gam-ri‘, the four black trigrams found on the corners of the flag.
Before resuming their North American stadium tour in August, BTS recently proved their global superstar status by performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show at the New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19.
