“Run BTS” is back and it’s as hilarious and comforting as ever.
After announcing a hiatus in 2023, the long-running variety show starring South Korean supergroup BTS returned on Thursday with the first part of a three-episode special titled “BTS’s Trip.”
Revamped as “Run BTS 2.0,” the first episode follows RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook as they go on a trip together after serving in the South Korean military. The group stays in a three-bedroom house together, which naturally means room-sharing.
Things get chaotic when the members, reminiscent of one of their most iconic episodes, choose rooms at random. Jin and Jimin end up together, while V, RM, Suga, and J-Hope accidentally choose the same one.
Meanwhile, Jungkook happened to be the only one in the room he picked out.
Later, the group played a zombie game to decide who cleans up after dinner, and end up having a pillow fight.
“Run BTS” is BTS’s self-produced show that premiered in 2015. Following his discharge from the military, Jin launched a spin-off of the show titled “Run Jin.” It released its last episode in May 2025.
