Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, makes waves in the fashion industry despite his military hiatus.
Harper’s BAZAAR Korea recently unveiled Taehyung as the cover star for their February 2024 issue. Three covers were released in collaboration with the luxury fashion brand CELINE, for which he serves as the global ambassador.
With each cover, Taehyung transforms into a different persona, showcasing his ability to embrace and interpret any concept and theme.
The captivating photoshoot featuring Taehyung’s beautiful appearance, blue hair, and majestic aura lent an otherworldly vibe to the photos, making him look like a fantasy character come to life.
When the photos were revealed, he went viral for looking like a real-life anime character.

The enthusiastic response to the photoshoot was proven through sales. After Taehyung’s Harper’s BAZAAR Korea covers were revealed, pre-orders for them topped the bestseller sales ranking on seven of the largest e-commerce sites in Korea and Japan.

On the domestic online bookstore Yes24, it secured the top three spots in the weekly bestseller rankings for the magazine category and held the 1st to 4th positions in real-time bestsellers.
At Aladin bookstore, it ranked 1st to 3rd in the weekly bestseller category, and the package items were sold out early, disappointing fans. On Gmarket, it secured the 1st to 4th positions in the fashion magazine category.
On Japan’s largest online shopping mall Rakuten, Taehyung’s covers adorned the 1st to 6th positions in all K-pop categories. On Qoo10, the covers dominated the 1st to 5th positions, with six of the top 10 bestsellers being his photos.
On the global online commerce platform Ktown4u for K-pop fans, it has held the 1st position since the day of release.
Harper’s BAZAAR Korea teased more upcoming content and revealed that films and behind-the-scenes footage of Taehyung’s photoshoot will be released on January 22 and 26.
