BTS member Jimin has been named the artist most destined for the fashion runway this year, according to the fan-voting platform Picnic.
Jimin topped the poll with 32,629 votes, followed by James of boy band Cortis with 26,420 and Gawon of girl group Meovv with 15,359. The poll ran for two weeks from July 10 to 24.
According to Picnic, fans voted based on candidates’ fashion sense, brand power and stage presence.
Jimin, a global ambassador for Dior, attended Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 in June, drawing significant attention from the global fashion industry and media in an Edwardian-inspired velvet coat.
His influence in the fashion world extends beyond the runway. The shirt Jimin wore during BTS’s halftime show performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final sold for $110,000 at Christie’s “One Goal: An Auction to Benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund” charity auction.
All proceeds will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports educational opportunities and football access for children in underserved communities. The winning bid tied with the amount fetched for the official match ball of the 2026 World Cup final.
Jimin’s style evolution on stage has also sparked online buzz. During BTS’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Thursday, he surprised fans with a braided hair accent, the platform noted. Images captured on the venue’s LED screens quickly went viral across social media platforms, with global pop culture account Pop Core highlighting his new look.
“Fashion is one of the most intuitive brand metrics for demonstrating an artist’s personality and global reach,” a Picnic spokesperson said. “The results of this poll, which drew participants from 175 countries, show that fans’ interest in Jimin extends well beyond music into fashion and lifestyle.”
Picnic hosts weekly polls on a wide range of K-pop topics in collaborations with the Korea JoongAng Daily.
Participation in the polls is available through Picnic’s official website and mobile app.
