According to Jagran Josh, a one-stop resource platform that released its list of the ‘Top 10 Most Searched People on Google in 2025,’ V placed fourth overall, following Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Taylor Swift. The ranking includes figures from a wide range of fields, including politics, sports, and pop culture.

Jagran Josh explained that its analysis of Google search data spans from 2004 to the present. From BTS’s debut on June 13, 2013, through January 30 this year, V has consistently recorded high search volumes, maintaining his status as one of K-pop’s leading global figures.
“BTS’s V Continues Active Career as a Global Artist”
V, whose real name is Kim Tae Hyung, was born on December 30, 1995, in Daegu, South Korea, and debuted in 2013 as a vocalist of BTS. The group has achieved worldwide success, frequently charting at the top of Billboard rankings and establishing itself as a major force in the global music market.

In addition to his group activities, V has pursued a solo career, earning recognition for his musical abilities. He released self-composed digital singles “Scenery” and “Winter Bear” in 2019, and in September 2023, unveiled his first official solo mini-album, Layover. Tracks from Layover charted both domestically and internationally, solidifying his presence as a solo artist.
V enlisted for mandatory military service in December 2023 and was discharged in June last year, after which he rejoined BTS’s full-group activities. Following the completion of military service, BTS officially announced a full-group comeback alongside the release of a new album, Arirang, scheduled for spring 2026, as well as plans for a world tour beginning the same year. Arirang, set for release on March 20, is described as BTS’s first full-length studio album and will serve as the foundation for a large-scale global tour.
As a musician, V has contributed to BTS not only through his vocals and performances but also through songwriting and styling. His artistic sensibility is widely regarded as having influenced the group’s overall visual direction.
Spanning both group and solo work, V’s career continues to evolve, with heightened expectations for his activities on the music and performance stage in 2026 alongside BTS’s highly anticipated comeback.
