BTS member Jin made a surprise appearance to celebrate the military discharge of fellow members RM and V.
On June 10 KST, RM and V, who completed their military service earlier that day, went live on fan communication platform Weverse at around 12 p.m. KST to greet fans.
During the live broadcast, Jin appeared wearing a red ribbon on his head and playfully said, “Congratulations on your discharge. I’m your present,” bringing laughter to the stream.
When Jin asked V, “What are you going to do now?” V responded, “I’ve had enough rest, so I think it’s time to start doing something.” Jin also handed over a bouquet and asked, “J-Hope didn’t come, right?” to which RM and V replied, “He came and went.”
RM and V, who enlisted together in December 2023, served in the military band of the 15th Infantry Division in Hwacheon and the Special Duty Team (SDT) of the Army’s 2nd Corps in Chuncheon, respectively. They were discharged after completing their full service on June 10.
With Jin and J-Hope previously discharged, and now RM and V returning to civilian life, four out of seven BTS members have completed their military duties. Jimin and Jungkook are set to be discharged on June 11, while Suga, currently serving as a public service worker, will complete his service on June 21.
As a result, BTS’s military hiatus, which began in December 2022, is expected to conclude this month. With HYBE stating that “we hope for full-group BTS activities in 2025,” the industry anticipates a comeback album either by the end of this year or early next year.
