Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, has once again proven his immense popularity and influence in Japan, being named the role model of a new Japanese boy group member.
Vogue Japan recently published an interview titled “Q&A with aoen: Seven Stars Reveal Their True Selves”, featuring HYBE’s next-generation J-pop boy group aoen, which officially debuted on June 11, 2025.
When asked, “Who is your fashion icon?” member GAKU revealed his admiration for BTS’s V (Kim Taehyung):
“BTS’s V. I’ve admired him ever since I first became a trainee. I was only around 16 at the time, so no matter how hard I tried to imitate him, it just didn’t suit me. I hope that when I get older and have a better vibe, I’ll be able to dress like V.”
Often referred to as the “Idol of Idols,” Kim Taehyung has become a defining figure for the new generation of K-pop artists. With his unparalleled stage presence, rich baritone vocals, and distinct artistic individuality, Taehyung embodies a charisma that feels both timeless and forward-looking.
His influence transcends music. From shaping fashion trends to redefining visual aesthetics and inspiring new forms of emotional expression on stage, Taehyung continues to set a standard that younger idols aspire to. Many rising artists, like GAKU, see him not only as a role model but as the epitome of what it means to be a global superstar who remains authentic and expressive.
