Jimin has quite a few tattoos. He talked about them a couple of times. Among all the tattoos, there is one of their song Young Forever as well. The singer inked one word on each arm. He has mentioned many times just how much this track means to him.
Jimin opened up about it and said that this song was the one that changed many things for him. It was there when he needed support and strength the most. BTS members were going through a really tough time back in 2018. When they were confused and lost, Young Forever’s performance and fan videos are what changed things for him.
The Serendipity singer kept watching its videos. It gave him meaning when he was searching for it. Jimin opened up about the same in BTS’ first-ever book where they talk about their journey, struggle, success, and more.
Emotional Meaning Behind Jimin’s ‘Young Forever’ Tattoo
On July 9, ARMY Day, the boys released their first-ever book Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record Of BTS in which they talk about a lot of things. At one point, Jimin also shares his 2018 story. He said that the group was in crisis. They were trying to break free from all the concerns and wanted to get back to the way it was before.
Jimin isolated himself in a three-meter-square room and kept watching old videos. He came across a clip of their fans singing along to Young Forever. “Watching that I thought this is what we worked so hard for,” he said. The singer then thought to himself why he was putting aside such beautiful emotion. Even when they were facing hardship, BTS kept working on their album Love Yourself: Tear.
It was a tiring process being in that state of mind. But it has to be mentioned that this album became one of their top hits of all time.
