K-pop idols who love their pets like family

K-Pop idols and their furry little friends/pets often steal the show! These furry BFFs bring out the softie sides of our favorite stars, melting fans’ hearts worldwide. Here are seven K-Pop idols, from BTS V to Chungha, with the most heartwarming pet moments that will surely make you go, “Awwww!”

1. V’s Lovable Yeontan

Yeontan, V’s Pomeranian, was practically an idol himself. After his adoption in 2017, Yeontan appeared in countless stories, Lives, Instagram posts, and even fancams, including one where he popped up during V’s ‘Slow Dancing’ performance on ‘Mnet’. Tragically, Yeontan passed away in December 2024 (RIP), but fans continue to cherish the sweet moments they shared. His name was inspired by his black, coal-briquette-like fur.

2. Lisa’s Furry Squad

Lisa from BLACKPINK is the ultimate cat mom. Her five cats, Leo, Luca, Lily, Lego, and Louis, all have names starting with “L” to match hers. She also owns a Doberman named LOVE. Fans love seeing the cats play or lounge in her stories, and she even created a separate Instagram account for them: @lalala_lfamily.

3. Soobin’s Cuddly Pal Odi

Soobin from TXT had a pet hedgehog named Odi who was often seen in his TikTok videos and on Weverse. Odi brought comfort and joy to Soobin, especially during idol life’s hectic moments. Sadly, Odi passed away in 2023 due to illness, prompting an outpouring of support from fans.

4. Momo’s Playful Pups Boo and Dobby

Momo from TWICE owns two Norwich Terriers, Boo and Dobby. They’ve become fan favorites for their tricks and bond with Nayeon’s Pomeranian, Kookeu. Boo was adopted in 2020, and Dobby followed in 2021. Their interactions melt fans’ hearts every time.

5. Chanyeol’s Groovy Pups Toben and Zzar

Chanyeol of EXO has two dogs with musical names – Toben (after Beethoven) and Zzar (after Mozart). Toben even has his own Instagram account with over 700K followers. The dogs often appear in Chanyeol’s posts, whether they’re chasing toys or just looking adorable.

6. Youngjae’s Sweet Coco

Youngjae of GOT7 co-parented Coco with fellow member Mark. Coco, a hypoallergenic dog, was picked to match Youngjae’s needs and became a staple on GOT7’s social media and shows like ‘Hard Carry 2’. She passed away in March 2025, and fans shared their condolences online.

7. Chungha’s Charming Bambi and Aran

Chungha is the proud mom of Bambi, a long-legged pup that starred with her in ‘Weekly Idol’ and a Vogue shoot. In 2021, she also fostered Aran, showing her deep care for animals. Her Instagram is filled with cuddly updates on both.
