V Becomes The First Korean Artist To Have Two OSTs Surpass 200M On Spotify

V has not made his official debut as a soloist yet, the vocalist has released three OSTs under his spotify profile – It’s Definitely You With JIN, Sweet Night, and Christmas Tree.

All three of these songs have over 100M streams, and now two of them have over 200 Million streams each. Christmas Tree recently became Taehyung’s second song to reach 200 Million streams on Spotify. Sweet Night was Taehyung’s first song to reach this milestone. After this new achievement, Taehyung has become the only Korean soloist in the industry to reach this milestone with two of his solo songs.

V has released three solo tracks under BTS’ name: “Stigma” in 2016, “Singularity” in 2018, and “Inner Child” in 2020, all of which have charted on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart. In addition to his career as a BTS group member, the vocalist has also released several self-produced solo songs.

V released his first independent song, “Scenery”, on January 30, 2019, through the BTS SoundCloud page. He then released songs like “Winter Bear”, “Sweet Night”, and “Snow Flower”. His 2021 release, “Christmas Tree” debuted at number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned V his first solo entry on the chart.

It was recently confirmed that the singer will soon be making a surprise appearance in the TV Show “Youn’s Kitchen”, for which he was also recently spotted filming in Mexico. Taehyung is expected to release his first studio album early next year.
