BTS’s J-Hope describes luxury watch collection as “A gift to myself”

BTS member j-hope continues to showcase his global star power, leaving even veteran entertainer Yoo Jae Suk impressed with his success and luxury lifestyle.

On July 5, the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun released a new episode of the variety show ‘Pinggyego,’ titled ‘Summer Festival is Pinggyego.’ The episode featured J-Hope as a special guest, where he shared personal stories and updates on his life and career.

Yoo Jae Suk greeted J-Hope warmly, commenting that it had been around four years since they last met on the show ‘You Quiz.’ The reunion was filled with laughter and genuine excitement.

J-Hope spoke about his upcoming schedule, saying he will be performing as a headliner at the ‘Lollapalooza festival’ in Germany this month. He highlighted his current role as a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton and luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet, further cementing his status as a world-class artist.

He explained that being an ambassador is something he takes seriously. He shared that he genuinely loves the brands he represents and that Audemars Piguet holds special meaning for him. It was the first luxury watch he purchased after achieving success, making it a personal symbol of accomplishment. He also revealed that he has been collecting watches, buying one each time he reaches a significant milestone in his life.

Yoo Jae Suk agreed with the sentiment, saying that meaningful stories like J-Hope’s are what make ambassador partnerships authentic. He added humorously that comedian Jo Se Ho is a VIP customer at Chanel, not an ambassador, drawing laughs from the group.

J-Hope also opened up about his recent military service, which ended in October last year. He said that completing his service felt refreshing and meaningful. Stepping away from his career and adapting to military life gave him valuable experiences and lessons as Jung Ho Seok, the person behind the idol.

He concluded by saying that it feels surreal that all the BTS members are now completing their service, marking a new chapter for the group.
