Song Da Eun, actress and former contestant on ‘Heart Signal 2’, has once again drawn public attention after posting a video featuring BTS member Jimin without his consent—sparking intense debate over boundaries, privacy, and accountability.
On August 27th KST, Song uploaded a TikTok video showing Jimin’s face clearly as he enters an apartment building. The clip, which appeared to have been recorded without Jimin’s prior knowledge, quickly went viral, prompting widespread backlash.
As of now, BigHit Music, Jimin’s agency, has issued no official response. In the absence of a formal statement, public opinion has sharply divided.
Many netizens expressed outrage at Song’s actions, criticizing her for exposing what appears to be a private moment without consent. Online commenters wrote:
“Where’s the respect for his privacy?”,
“This is basically a hidden camera,”,
“Even if they dated, what kind of partner does this?”, and
“There’s no excuse—this is public exposure without agreement.”
Some added that “love or not, basic decency should apply,” accusing Song of using the footage for personal gain or emotional leverage.
On the other hand, a more sympathetic narrative has also emerged. Some users highlighted that Song had endured persistent rumors since 2022, with no official clarification. During that time, she became a target of malicious comments accusing her of “self-generated” dating rumors.
Supporters referenced a June 2024 Instagram Live where Song burst into tears while speaking about her mental distress:

Critics of the backlash argue that the recent video may be a culmination of years of emotional burden, frustration, and lack of acknowledgment.
