BTS’s Jimin and actress Song Da Eun have been embroiled in dating allegation after a video allegedly taken at their apartment together, showing Jimin getting off an elevator.

Both parties have been criticized over the actions, or in Jimin’s case, inaction, with no statement being released until now.
On August 31, it was reported that BigHit Music released a statement, confirming that the relationship had taken place in the past, but that their relationship had ended.
“Our company has refrained from making any statements until now in order to respect Jimin’s private life as well as the individual being mentioned in relation to it.
However, as speculative reports concerning the artist’s personal life have continued to surface and groundless rumors have been circulating, we find it unavoidable to clarify the bare minimum facts.
The artist and the individual in question were once acquainted with mutual affection in the past, but that was several years ago, and they are not in a relationship at present.
We ask that you refrain from making reckless speculations about their private lives. We earnestly request that you also refrain from any actions that could cause harm to the individual who is being mentioned alongside the artist.”

Many have expressed disbelief over the statement, citing that BigHit Music has not released a statement “directly” and that the article was written “unprofessionally.”

just remember that whatever Bighit does, they do it with PJM’s consent and approval, everything has to go thru him first otherwise theyre violating his rights

the statement should’ve been more about protecting his privacy yet here we are. even k outlets were talking about how leaking private videos are grounds for a lawsuit and yet you have bighit protecting her more than the artist, what a useless company.
