As BTS continues to make waves globally—even during group hiatus—two of its members are once again in the spotlight for groundbreaking reasons.
On October 13, fans of Jimin celebrated his birthday with an unprecedented fan project across China. His Chinese fanbase orchestrated a large-scale event, displaying birthday ads on over 150 giant screens in 90 shopping malls across 63 cities within 30 provincial-level regions. From outdoor billboards to indoor digital screens, the ads captured hearts and turned entire districts into love letters for Jimin.
The celebration reached a stunning climax in Shanghai and Tianjin, where 3D mega screens showcased a breathtaking birthday ad as part of the “2025 Birthday Park Jimin Offline Support Special – Invincible Love.” The spectacle drew large crowds and spread across social media, solidifying Jimin’s unparalleled global popularity.
Meanwhile, fellow BTS member Jin is concluding a historic run with his first solo world tour, “#RUNSEOKJIN EP.TOUR“, which originated from his solo variety series Run Seokjin. Starting modestly at the Goyang Sports Complex in June, the tour grew exponentially as Jin performed across Japan (Chiba, Osaka), the United States (Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark), the UK (London), and the Netherlands (Amsterdam).
The tour attracted more than 180,000 fans, including 130,000 in Japan and 100,000 in the U.S. alone. It earned Jin a spot at #14 on Pollstar’s Top 20 Global Concert Tours, with an average city revenue of $2.74 million, the highest for an Asian solo artist. He also ranked #9 on Billboard’s Top Tour chart, generating an estimated $32.5 million in total revenue.
Jin made history as the first Korean solo artist to:
- Perform at London’s O2 Arena
- Set an all-time attendance record for a Korean artist at Honda Center in Anaheim
- Sell out the American Airlines Center in Dallas as a solo act
Critics took notice. Rolling Stone UK praised the event as “not just a K-pop concert, but the world of Kim Seokjin itself,” while the Los Angeles Times called it a “masterclass in fan engagement.”
To wrap it all up, Jin will host encore concerts on October 31 and November 1 at Incheon’s Munhak Stadium, promising an upgraded experience. “The weather may be chilly, so dress warmly,” Jin shared with fans, “but I’ll make sure the energy on stage keeps you excited.
