BTS’ Jin has scored another major milestone with his solo music. His solo track has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.
According to Spotify, Jin’s title track “Don’t Say You Love Me” from his second mini album surpassed 1 billion cumulative streams as of August 18.
The milestone comes just one year and three months after the song’s release. “Don’t Say You Love Me” has also become Jin’s most-streamed solo song to date.
The track captures the ironic emotions of a couple who cannot let go of each other even as their relationship approaches its end. Jin’s understated vocals blend with the song’s restrained sound, creating an emotionally subdued atmosphere.
The song also became a global hit. “Don’t Say You Love Me” peaked at No. 90 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, marking Jin’s third entry on the chart following “The Astronaut” and “Running Wild.”
The song also reached the top 10 on several major charts, including No. 2 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, No. 6 on Billboard’s Global 200, and No. 4 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Meanwhile, BTS, the group Jin is a member of, is currently on their world tour, ‘ARIRANG.’ The group will continue the tour with performances in Toronto on August 22 and 23.
