BTS have successfully wrapped up the first half of their ‘ARIRANG‘ tour in North America, performing in a total of 5-cities over the course of 15 shows.
The group drew approximately 840,000 audiences during the 5-city tour, spanning across Tampa, El Paso, Mexico City, Stanford, and Las Vegas.
The massive-scale world tour also spurred on the so-called “BTSconomics” effect in each city. Forecasters projected that the Las Vegas stop of the tour would generate an economic ripple effect amounting to 200 million USD, while in Tampa, the numbers were projected closer to 800 million USD.
Furthermore, in Mexico City, the members of BTS were invited to visit the Presidential Palace by President Claudia Sheinbaum herself, greeting a massive crowd of fans gathered below the palace balcony.
Meanwhile, BTS’s ‘ARIRANG’ tour continues from June 12-13 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium, before kicking off the Europe leg on June 26 in Madrid.
