The global supergroup BTS has surpassed 1.6 billion views on their iconic ‘DNA’ music video.
According to their agency, BigHit Music, on November 13th at around 3:30 a.m., BTS’s ‘DNA’ music video—released in September 2017 as the title track of ‘Love Yourself: Her’—crossed 1.6 billion views on YouTube.
This marks BTS’s third music video to reach 1.6 billion views, following ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Boy With Luv’ (feat. Halsey).
‘DNA’ captures the spirit of youthful, passionate love, with the message “We were fatefully intertwined from the beginning and connected as one from our DNA.” The song blends electronic pop sounds with acoustic guitar, portraying the exhilaration of a first love with a fresh and vibrant tone.
Starting with a catchy whistling sound, the music video features scenes shifting between virtual reality and outer space. BTS delivers a powerful, dazzling performance, transitioning seamlessly between solo, unit, and group formations.
Currently, BTS holds a total of 39 music videos with view counts in the hundreds of millions, including ‘DNA’ and the 1.8 billion-view ‘Dynamite’.
