Recently, popular influencer and YouTuber Ha Neul has faced backlash for promoting her brand by mentioning celebrities who used them.
On her Instagram stories, she hinted that many famous people were buying her products.

“Anyway, my product has been used by some amazing people that I cannot mention!”
— Ha Neul

Netizen: This is so crazy! BLACKPINK, BTS, let’s go!
Ha Neul: How did you know that BTS was drinking it, too? Crazy! I was so shocked when I found out they had bought many boxes.

Netizen: Are the ‘amazing people’ you mentioned earlier supposed to be BLACKPINK?
Ha Neul: Yes…Suzy, BLACKPINK, BTS…if they are all drinking it, then doesn’t it mean that all of Korea’s idols are drinking it, too? The fact that they probably eat so many things that are good for you, and yet they choose my brand, made me think, ‘this is it!’.

Suzy, who bought it herself, posted herself drinking my product, and not for any type of promotion.
— Ha Neul

I found out about this because a fan let me know…but our product really helps with swelling.
— Ha Neul
However, netizens agreed she could be sued for revealing personal information about the artists.

- “What does she mean she can’t mention who it is, but post their photo?”
- “Are they really drinking it? Even if they are, isn’t it leaking personal information about the customer?”
- “She didn’t get sued for this?”
- “Can’t they file a lawsuit against her for this?”
- “Isn’t it illegal to use them like that without permission? How can she be so shameless?
