On September 1, YouTube channel Mimiminu featured IVE members Leeseo and Gaeul.
During the episode, Mimiminu referenced Leeseo and Gaeul’s previous appearance on Kim Jaejoong’s show ‘Jaefriends’ and asked, “You called Kim Jaejoong ‘uncle,’ but is he really an uncle or more like an older brother?” Leeseo replied, “It’s ambiguous.” Mimiminu added, “You are in your final year of high school. Even my high school subscribers would not call someone ‘uncle,’” jokingly expressing slight disappointment.
The hosts also talked about their nicknames. Mimiminu said that subscribers call him “Potato” and added, “It looks like me, right?” Gaeul laughed and commented, “You have a strong sense of self-awareness.” Leeseo then playfully concluded, “Then you are Potato Uncle.”
The conversation then turned to IVE’s performance at ‘Lollapalooza.’ When asked about the audience size, Gaeul said, “There is no limit. They watch us from far away.”
Leeseo also recalled a technical issue during their second song when the microphone failed. She explained, “The power went out. The music and the microphone did not work. We thought only our in-ear monitors were off and the audience could hear us, but they could not. Still, the crowd sang along and even filled in for us. It was amazing.”
Gaeul revealed that BTS’s j-hope supported them. She said, “Our performance dates were different from J-Hope’s, but he personally came to see us the day before.” When Mimiminu joked, “So J-Hope was bowing his head in the crowd?” Leeseo confirmed, “Yes, J-Hope actually watched our performance.”
