It became impossible to read the messages after BTS’s V joined a fan chatroom

On September 9, fans were in for a pleasant surprise when BTS’s V joined an open Kakaotalk chat.

On this day, V joined social media to celebrate the first anniversary of his solo debut album ‘Layover’ along with his pet dog, Yeontan’s birthday. Following his social media appearance, V – in his typical spontaneous personality –  decided to join a “Kim Tae Hyung” fan Kakaotalk open chat room.

When he joined, he joined with the username “Kim Tae Hyung,” which is his real name, and greeted fans asking how they were. At first, the fans in the chatroom didn’t believe that it was actually V who joined the chat.

When fans asked to prove that it was V speaking, he posted a photo of himself in the elevator in his military uniform, which sent fans into a frenzy.

Following his verification, fans quickly joined the chat to send messages expressing their admiration and love for the idol.

In an instant, the open Kakaotalk chat was flooded with messages from hundreds of V’s fans. A video capturing the surge of messages was shared on a popular online community, leaving Korean netizens shocked by the overwhelming response.

Korean netizens commented:

“Now I understand why they blocked the chatting feature this morning.”

“This is so crazy. Look at the speed it’s scrolling.”

“The fans are cute though. lol.”

“This was when the chat managers were asking everyone to be quiet so that V could talk when he returned. And V said it’s okay. I’m so envious that V joined that chat.”

“It’s so chaotic. I would send crazy messages too if I was in that chat as V’s fan.”

“Look at the speed, lol.”

“How do you read all that? lol.”

“The fans are so cute.”

“He’s receiving so much love.”

“It’s so funny how everyone was trying to stay quiet but then everyone started talking all at once.”

“This is so adorable.”

“It’s so V to join an open chat like that.”

“Lucky for these fans. I can’t believe he joined an open chat.”

“He said the other chat had difficult verification to join.”

“It must’ve been hard to hold back all those messages after finding out that V joined.”
